Create a research scheme

This page will guide you in creating a research scheme for including as an example in this wiki. You can use the Research Scheme Table to plan the various parts of the methodology before you start entering data. When coming to actually adding the research to the wiki, you will need to create the research methods and research designs first, before you create the research scheme that contains them.

Before starting to create a research scheme, it would be a good idea to first browse other to see what sort of information is included. You will then have a better idea of what you need to create a research scheme.

1. Create each research method

Click on the type of research method you want to create - this will open a new window. When you Save the form, your research method will be given a name and number (which you can see at the top of the page and in the title of the tab). You will need this name and number in Step 2, so do not close this window yet. You can create as many research methods as there are in the reported research.

2. Create each research design

Click on the type of research design you want to create - this will open a new window. You will need the research method names that you created in Step 1. When you Save the form, your research design will be given a name and number (which you can see at the top of the page and in the title of the tab). You will need this name and number in Step 3, so do not close this window yet. You can create as many research designs as there are in the reported research.

3. Create the overall research scheme

Ensure that you have created instances of the research methods and research designs at the top of this page before you create an instance of a research scheme - this ensures that all the links can be created successfully. You can use the Research Scheme Table to plan the various parts of the methodology before you start entering data.
Clicking on the button below will take you to a form to create the overall research scheme - you can give this research scheme a short descriptive name of your own in the box below. You will need the research design names that you created in Step 2.
